This pilot project led by Montevideo aims to draw together common knowledge about how the intersectional approach can be applied in public policies. The intersectional approach acknowledges that all people, including those who identify as LGBTI (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex), are affected by multiple inequalities and that this intersection creates new kinds of discrimination, which differs from the sum of these inequalities
