Our Subject

To Rethink the concepts of Innovation and disruption in our territories, so we can turn them into a source of creation and economic, social and environmental profit

Chaire ETI’s goal is to develop and diffuse recent and innovative ideas shared by their researchers and associated partners around the territory, so they become a key for today’s economically, ecologically and socially sustainable value chain.

The work output is proposed in different formats by our researchers (written, visual or video), so it can be accessible for everyone. We want to pass our knowledge to all practitioners who are involved in their scientific work and make it more useful in the development of our cities, territories and in our own lives.

Through our work in Chaire ETI, we want to create strong connections between the research and the socio-economic actors, private and public, through our studies, publications, events and advisory missions.

A HUB, A PLACE FOR MEETINGS WITH A NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL DIMENSION

Chaire ETI is a physical and virtual place, just like the 21th century, that unifies skills, creates crossed energies, and multiplies collective intelligences.

Created in Paris but present in France and worldwide, we are a high-level, transdisciplinary, multiple, national and international network, motivated by a deep conviction: we must create together, and with the diversity of our actions, the new paradigms essential to anticipate the transformations to come on this century.

WE ARE INSPIRED TO BE THE EXPLORERS OF TOMORROW’S CITY AND BECOME THE SOURCE OF VALUE GENERATION

To develop innovative territories, to build living areas and entrepreneurial ideas that prioritize the quality of life and that address environmental challenges of the 21th century. We want to make our contribution to the essential paradigm changes with the back and forts on the field:

  • EXPERIMENTATION: the experiences from Chaire ETI’s research will be conducted based on entrepreneurial actions and innovations, from the territory’s scale, with a substantial targeted impact on value generation, inhabitants’ quality of life and the global durability of the territory in question.
  • OPERATIONAL: Chaire ETI’s research projects must be organized in the service of a clearly outlined operational ambition, a long-term vision, structured innovations in different sectors, public and private initiatives, in the convergence of university projects and scientific, economic and industrial resources.
  • INTEGRATIVE: Chaire ETI’s projects will be part of a procedure integrated with an assessment approach, which will highlight the importance of the social acceptability of changes, the feasibility, the relevance of new economic and social models, and the impacts from these new experiences. The assessment, prior and after, built accordingly to the original ambition of the project, is at the very heart of our objectives.
